A Queue holds activities not yet processed.
Shared Queues
To take an activity from a Queue
- From the Home Page, Click on the Queues tab.
- Select the appropriate Queue from the list. Once a Queue is selected all the activities in that Queue will display.
- Select the desired activity, by clicking the Take link in the row to assign to My Queue. The activity you took will also be available in your Inbox. You may launch the activities from either My Queue or your Inbox.
To view an activity in a Queue
- From the Home Page, Click on the Queues tab.
- Select the appropriate Queue from the list. Once a Queue is selected all the activities in that Queue will display.
- Select the desired activity, by clicking the View link in the row to assign to My Queue. The activity you selected will open for viewing only. You will not be able to make any changes to the activity and it will remain in the same queue.
My Queue
To start an activity after taking it from a queue
- From My Queue:
- Click on My Queue on the top left of the Queues page.
- Select the desired activity from the list, and click on View.
- From your Inbox:
- Click on the Home tab from the top navigation heading to show your Inbox.
- Click on the activity to launch from your Inbox.
To release an activity after taking it from a queue
- From the Home Page, Click on the Queues tab.
- Select My Queue from the list. Once My Queue is selected all the activities in that Queue will display.
- Select the desired activity, by clicking the Release link in the row.
- The activity will be returned to the queue it was taken from.
Admin Tools
To assign an activity to a user from a Queue
- From the Home Page, Click on the Queues tab.
- Select the appropriate Queue from the list. Once a Queue is selected all the activities in that Queue will display.
- Select the desired activity, by clicking the Assign link in the row.
- In the Assign Activity popup, select the desired user by entering their name in Assign To:.
- Click Assign.
- The activity will be available in the users Inbox. The user may launch the activities from either My Queue or their Inbox.
To reassign an activity to a user from My Queue
- From the Home Page, Click on the Queues tab.
- Select My Queue from the list. Once My Queue is selected all the activities in that Queue will display.
- Select the desired activity, by clicking the Reassign link in the row.
- In the Reassign Activity popup, select the desired user by entering their name in Assign To:.
- Click Reassign.
- The activity will be available in the users Inbox. The user may launch the activities from either My Queue or their Inbox.
