A spot delivery occurs when dealerships delivers a vehicle to a customer on the spot before it has obtained financing or before financing has been finalized. Often, spot deliveries are a convenience to your customer as they expedite the sale and finance process by allowing your customer to drive away with their vehicle while the dealership finalizes the assignment of the financing documents. However, if done incorrectly, spot delivery transactions can increase the company's exposure to lawsuits.
